On behalf of children and adults with developmental disabilities, and their families who are served by The Arc of Northern Bristol County, we are asking you to consider becoming a member of the Arc. Your membership will help to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities who live right here in your community. By becoming a member of the Arc, you will enable people with disabilities to have the resources they need to participate in activities and social events that we all enjoy. Your gift will help to assure that people with disabilities have access to supportive staff, transportation, and social activities that enrich their lives. Because most of the 1,200+ people we serve have incomes below the federal poverty level, recreational opportunities are often unavailable to them without support from community members like you.
The purpose and mission of the Arc of Northern Bristol County is “ to strive for the right of all people with developmental disabilities to be valued as individuals, to experience choice, and to be fully included in all aspects of community life.” Your partnership will greatly assist us to provide these much needed services including Recreation and Life Enrichment, Family Support, Advocacy and Outreach, Residential Support, and Independent Living. When you join the Arc, you also join the concert of voices advocating for and with people with disabilities at the local, state, and federal levels. The Arc also fosters research and education regarding the prevention of disabilities in infants and young children.
