Recruiter/Onboarding Coordinator #1358

General Description

Responsible for providing general administrative support to the human resource department across a variety of human resource tasks.  Ensures organizational effectiveness and efficiency within the human resources department and payroll aspect of the business department.  This position will have considerable contact within all levels of the organization.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or related degree preferred, proven work experience as a recruiter with at least five years of experience in the field of HR.  Excellent interpersonal, communication (written/verbal) and organization skills.  Excellent attention to detail.    Ability to maintain confidentiality.  Understanding of labor laws within the states of RI and MA. 


Job Responsibilities

Assists HR department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all employees

Forward applications to Directors/Supervisors from our website

Assists in recruitment efforts and interview process agency wide

Sourcing and attracting candidates by using social media

Send out offer letters

Conducts reference checks on new hires

Sends out education verification and ensure we receive back

Conducting required employee background checks to include BCI, CORI, DCYF, DPPC, Driving Record and OIG

Keep recruitment tracking sheet updated

Prepares individual Orientation packets specific to new hires for Training Coordinator

Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc

Conducts new employee orientation in the absence of Training Coordinator

Attends job fairs

Assists Director of HR and HR Manager with various special projects

Performs other related duties as required and assigned
