Recruiting/Training Coordinator


General Description

Responsible for providing recruitment and onboarding support as well as training for all departments.  This position will have considerable contact within all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or related degree preferred, proven work experience as a recruiter with at least five years of experience in the field of HR.  Direct care experience with Individuals is required.  Excellent interpersonal, communication (written/verbal) and organization skills as well as excellent attention to detail.    Ability to maintain confidentiality.  Understanding of labor laws within the states of RI and MA. 

Job Responsibilities

Assists HR department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all employees

Forward applications to Directors/Supervisors from our website

Assists in recruitment efforts and interview process agency wide

Sourcing and attracting candidates by using social media

Send out offer letters

Conducting reference checks

Conducting required employee background checks to include BCI, CORI, DCYF, DPPC, and Driving Record.

Keep recruitment tracking sheet updated

Develop and update job descriptions

Attend job fairs, prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc

Conducts new employee orientation

Assists with surveys

Assists in organizational training and development efforts

Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides and course materials

Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills

Presents training and development activities using various forms and formats including group discussions, lecture, simulations and videos

Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback

Communicates with various department directors/supervisors for training needs

Remains abreast of new training opportunities for employees

Teaches/Coordinates Safety Care certification and recertification classes

Teaches/Coordinates First Aid/CPR certification and recertification classes

Assists Director of HR and HR Manager with various special projects

Performs other related duties as required and assigned
