Training Specialist Human Resource Dept. Job #1218
General Description
Responsible for creating, developing, implementing and conducting training programs for employees. This position will have considerable contact within all levels of the organization. Must be proficient in MS Office and possess a willingness to learn new training operatives.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in training, education or Human Services, proven excellent interpersonal, communication (written/verbal) and organization skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Job Responsibilities
· Maintains training records of employees, compiles and distributes training reports. Updates employee training database as needed
· Manages and maintains Relias training software
· Assists in new employee orientation training
· Assists in organizational training and development efforts
· Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides and course materials
· Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills
· Presents training & development activities using various forms and formats including group discussions, lecture, simulations & videos
· Communicates with various department directors/supervisors for training needs
· Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback
· Remains abreast of new training opportunities for employees
· Teaches/Coordinates Safety Care certification and recertification classes
· Teaches/Coordinates First Aid/CPR certification and recertification classes
· Teaches/Coordinates Water Safety certification and recertification classes
· Performs other related duties as required and assigned by Human Resource Manager and/or Director of Human Resources
