What We Do
The Arc of Bristol County Trust Services helps people with disabilities retain eligibility for public benefits like MassHealth, SSI, and SSDI while enriching their quality of life.
Master Pooled Trust
Self-Settled
Funded with the assets of a person with a disability or elderly person (injury settlement, sale of a house, etc). Funds are pooled with others, but investment growth is tracked individually.
Master Family Pooled Trust
3rd-Party Funded
Funded with assets of a third party like a parent or grandparent for a person with a disability (ie will, savings, insurance policy). Funds are pooled with others, but investment growth is tracked individually.
Successor Trustee Services
Self-Settled or 3rd Party
The Arc of Bristol County will take over currently as trustee or plan to take over in the future when needed.
Step 1: Choose your trust
We offer three types of trusts for individuals with disabilities. All three types protect benefits approval from MassHealth/Medicaid and Social Security.
We recommend you seek the independent advice of an experienced estate planning attorney or certified financial planner when selecting the type of trust that is right for your family member.
Step 2: Complete Joinder Agreement
Complete, notarize, and mail the Joinder Agreement to us. You may download a copy of the Trust Agreement for your records.
