HBTS Worker

General Description: Part-time positions available: Following agency and state guidelines, provide specialized treatment and/or treatment support to children aged 0-21 years in all areas identified through HBTS plans. Underlying all functions is the mission to help those we serve lead richer, fuller and more independent lives.
Minimum Qualifications: Be at least 19 years of age; have a high-school degree or equivalent, and one year of supervised experience working with children, or Have at least 3 years of experience with adults with developmental disabilities to work as home-based workers, or Have an Associates degree in human services (i.e., psychology, counseling, child development, education, nursing, etc), or Demonstrate competency to work with children with special health care needs as evidenced by provider-agency’s skills validation requirement.
Job Responsibilities: Protect the rights and dignities of individuals with developmental disabilities and extend these rights and dignities to family members or guardians. Uphold and comply with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment for employees, consumers, family members and visitors. Commit to organizational quality initiatives by participating in programs that will assure quality improvements and team processes, including regular attendance at staff meetings. Enhance the lives of those we serve though positive approaches, remembering that each person has individual needs and learning styles. Follow all approved plans Assist at whatever level necessary to meet the goals outlined in the treatment plan with consultation with appropriate clinical staff. Collect data as assigned with regard to goals. Respect and support, within and outside of their family's home, the privacy property and ownership of all individuals whom are services and supported. Assist in the training and orientation of new staff . Arrive to work in a timely manner, insuring time for necessary communication with families to occur. Communicate with all appropriate members of the individual’s team to insure that services and supports provided meet their needs. Follow all agency guidelines and department specific policies
