The Arc of the United States is a nonprofit organization advocating for the human and civil rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities like autism, Down syndrome, and other diagnoses. In Rhode Island, we work closely with our two state chapters, working for and with people with disabilities and their families:

At The Arc Rhode Island, we believe every person with an intellectual or developmental disability deserves the chance to live a full, meaningful life. We’re part of the national network and the movement to advocate for the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities—right here in Rhode Island.
Mission: Promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
